Filmed Here
For nearly 90 years, more than 40 films and countless television and commercial productions have found the locations they needed in Southwest Colorado and the Four Corners region.
From dramatic alpine peaks to colorful towns to desert canyons and ancient cliff dwellings, the region has an unmatched diversity of locations waiting to tell a story.
The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad and the breathtaking river canyon it parallels have featured prominently in many films, from classic Westerns of the 50’s and 60’s to recent thrillers like Christopher Nolan’s “The Prestige”.
Film and television productions alike have been attracted to the mountain peaks and valleys showcased from the “San Juan Skyway” and other highways that traverse this geologically unique region.
